Tutwa Consulting Group and Cova Advisory are delighted to invite you to a seminar on

South Africa’s Evolving Trade Priorities

The new South African Minister of Trade and Industry, Ebrahim Patel, faces a complex global and regional agenda. Navigating a slow domestic economy, trade wars between major economies, threats to the multilateral system and an ambitious regional programme for deeper integration, will require strategic direction and ongoing engagement between all stakeholders. South Africa needs to balance its role as a heavyweight in Africa with a wide range of other important partnerships, including with the UK and EU as they deal with Brexit and the fallout from the US-China trade tensions.

Tutwa and Cova invite you to come to a briefing session that will provide the opportunity to get up to date information on the latest developments in the African Continental Free Trade Area, other regional processes, and on the impact of global trade tensions. The focus will be on unpacking how these issues are likely to impact on the South African business community, both in terms of potential trade opportunities as well as what challenges might arise from regional and global shifts. The engagement will also provide an opportunity to consider how South African trade policy might evolve under the 6th administration of President Cyril Ramaphosa.

We look forward to welcoming you to the event.
