Azwimpheleli Langalanga is a trade and investment law and policy advisor. He is a Visiting Research Fellow at the Economic Diplomacy Program of the South African Institute of International Affairs. Mr Langalanga is also a Fellow of the Mandela Institute for International Economic Law, at the University of the Witwatersrand’s School of Law. In addition he is a Faculty Member of the London based African International Legal Awareness. Mr. Langalanga also serves as an Economic Advisor at the Swiss embassy in South Africa. His expertise lies in the fields of international economic law with a bias towards the regulation of foreign investment. He also researches trade diplomacy and the economic aspects of international trade and investment. Mr Langalanga has done extensive research on South Africa’s foreign direct investment regulatory regime. He holds a Master of International Law and Economics (cum laude) from the World Trade Institute in Bern and a Master of Laws in Labour Studies from the University of KwaZulu Natal.
